Ardas Festival: The Festival held on the banks of Ardas River (during the summer and especially in August) started as a youth meeting 18 years ago and continues to take place in late August gathering large numbers of visitors and campers. Apart from the concerts of well-known artists and local bands, you can also participate in several parallel activities organized, such as sporting activities including beach volleyball, cycling, mountain bike and 4 x 4 jeep races, riding and chess. You can also attend visual and musical workshops, theatrical performances and the Athens Video Art Festival hosted here the last 2 years. The hosts have taken care of your pleasant and comfortable stay, since there are available camps fully equipped with information stations, sanitary facilities, power supply facilities and drinking water, while in the surrounding area there are mini markets and mini restaurants. There is also a specially designed area with playgrounds for the younger visitors, as well as a first aid unit and security personnel.
23rd August: You can visit the monastery of Panagia Kornofolia, which due to its celebration opens its doors to the believers who deluge the monastery to worship Panagia, while the nuns welcome them with handmade local dishes.
