The museum is divided into three sections. The first two cover the two most important prehistoric periods of Kefalonia, the Paleolithic and the Neolithic, with interesting artifacts from the caves of the island; and the Mycenaean Period, which features many exhibits of artifacts discovered in excavations of the Mycenaean-era tombs. The Archaeological Museum also houses remarkable finds from the ancient ‘Tetrapolis' and surrounding areas, masterpieces of art pottery, and much evidence of life on the island in ancient times.
Opening hours: Daily from 9:00 to 16:00, except Mondays. Admission: Normal € 3, reduced 2€
