The twin beaches-neighbors separated only by a few rocks- are very close to Argostoli and are the most cosmopolitan beaches on the island. The two beach bars are built atop the sand, and reach literally into the crystal waters.  The Caribbean vibe makes the place ideal for a summer flirtation accompanied by refreshing cocktails. Makris Gialos has shade trees, while Platis Gialos has large rocks that present an ideal backdrop for evening photographic excursions. Your choice.  But even if you get bored of one beach, just a few steps will take you to the other.
