The monastery is built near the village Karydi of Neapoli, on arid, barren land and is dedicated to the Agia Triada (Holy Trinity). Although it used to be one of the strongest monasteries in the region, for years it had been abandoned. Currently, it has been revived and new monks live there. To enter the monastery, you will pass through a vaulted portico, leading to the cloister, the storages, the cells, the kitchen, the trapeza (a room with a large table where the monks dine) and other buildings. Many opinions have been expressed about the name of the monastery. Several of them refer to the fact that the name Areti (virtue) was quite popular during the Venetian occupation.
