A gorge that has everything you might wish for: running waters, small waterfalls, watermills, caves, chapels, remarkable rock formations, crinums and orchids. The gorge is also called "Chinese scenery" from the small pine trees that exist in the area and look like bonsai trees and, depending on the season, there is the smell of chamomile in the atmosphere. This is a small gorge with an easy trail near Kalamafka village, approximately 12km from Ierapetra. Last but not least, even though this gorge is not particularly known, it is really beautiful and since crossing it does not require special skills, it is an ideal choice for enjoying the Cretan nature and the beauties it offers bounteously.
