Gomati is one of the most tranquil beaches with crystal clear shallow waters when the wind is not blowing and with big waves, mostly during winter, ideal for those who enjoy playing with the waves. It is located in the northwestern side of the island, 4km from Katalakkos. Moreover, it is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas and a beach bar. Its intriguing landmark is the fathomless sandy area above the beach: The famous "Ammothines" of 17 acres in extend, with poor vegetation and vast sand dunes compose a landscape, which resembles a small desert-a landscape truly unusual for an island of the Aegean Sea.
