In the Archeological Museum are exhibited several items that have been excavated in the region of Rethymno, dated from the Geometrical, Ancient, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman times. In its showcases, you will see vessels, figurines, bronze tools and weapons, gold jewelry, coins and sculptures. The earthen reliquaries from the Armenians’ cemetery with their geometric decoration are very interesting. The museum is located at the gate of the castle of Fortezza, so you can combine your visit with a tour in the castle. Apart from the permanent exhibition, several periodic exhibitions are hosted from time to time. Opening Hours: Daily 8:30-15:00 except for Monday. Tickets: Full: 3€, Reduced: 2€
