The wide collection of the museum includes ship models, naval instruments and devices, heirlooms, paintings, portraits, authentic historical photographs, such as the photo with the hoist of the Flag on the 1st of December 1913, when Crete was united with Greece, etc. The exhibits present elements of the maritime tradition from the Bronze Age till the post-war years.
