Once the trail reaches the southwest edge of the island, it continues along the southern coastline of the island. It is a magnificent route that passes through amazing beaches, several of which are accessed only via a footpath or from the sea. The route can be divided into smaller parts. From Chrysoskalitissa, it passes through the wonderful beaches of Elafonisi and Kedrodasos in about an hour and ends in the beautiful village of Paleochora (22 km, 7 hours, an easy route). The section Paleochora-Sougia (14,5 km, 6 hours, an easy route) passes through the Ancient town of Lissos and ends in Sougia. The trail is well marked, with the typical black and yellow signs of E4 path. You need to be a little careful in tracking the path in ancient Lissos, where the path continues slightly to the east of the Temple of Asclepius. (Total length: 36km, easy level of difficulty, Chrysoskalitissa-Elafonisi 1 hour, Elafonisi-Paleochora 7 hours, Paleochora-Sougia 6 hours)
