Pebbles, clear, cool waters, high mountains on one side and the endless Libyan sea on the other, it is unfathomably beautiful in Sougia.  Yes, the landscape is very beautiful, yes, there is a nudist section and yes, it’s got its comforts… there is however something in the atmosphere which makes the area seem majestic.  Perhaps it’s no accident that the ancients chose the neighboring Lissoto to build the sanctuary of Asclepius; perhaps the area does have therapeutic powers.  Nevertheless, Sougia is a beautiful beach which attracts mostly young crowds and people in naturalistic moods. There is natural shade as well as tourism infrastructure to make your visit so comfortable that you’ll have all the time in the world to discover the area.
Hidden secret:  the underwater cave under the rock at the left part of the beach.  It takes a good headlong dive to find yourself in it to take part in the playfulness of the water with the light that makes everything in the cave seem blurry.
