In Therma, also known as Loutra, is located the municipal Hydro-infirmary with its hot sulphur springs, which were known for their beneficial properties since the Byzantine era. Individual and group baths, 2 pools and 13 individual bathtubs are available in this Hydro-infirmary. The baths were built in 1981 at the foot of Psarotherma Hill. Moreover, the water in the pools is crystal clear, salty in flavor and the smell of sulphureted hydrogen is in the air. The water temperature is pleasant, around 38-39oC. Also, the swimming pools are in a very good condition while there are several benches around them and a place with taps of tepid water for crenotherapy is also located next to them. It is recommended for treating obesity as well as for liver, bile and kidney conditions.
