The Archeological Museum of Chania started operating in 1963 in the main church of the Venetian monastery of Agios Fragkiskos. Its collection includes exhibits from the history of the district (Neolithic period-Roman Empire). You will see many pre-historic findings from caves, tombs of the Geometrical period and Minoan findings excavated in Chania. In the beautiful indoor garden of the museum, you will see the Venetian drinking fountain, which was transferred from Sintrivani Square, and gates from Venetian mansions. Opening Hours: 9:00-16:00 (during summer)
