Tamam is one of the oldest restaurants in the historical port of Chania town. The cuisine as its name have been inspired by the building where Tamam is located, a Venetian Bath which was altered architectonically by the Ottomans in 1645 and continued to operate as Turkish Bath “hamam” as they call it. “Hamam” changed to “Tamam” meaning all good in Turkish language. Our recipes are based on Cretan dietary tradition as well as on the Ottoman one which has influenced greatly the daily eating habits of the locals by spicing them up.
For the last 35 years our philosophy is one, first class products from local producers made with care, and non pretentious real friendly service. Good food is accompanied with selected wine mainly from the Cretan Vineyards, wine tasting nights with food and wine pairing are organized weekly for all those who want to have a complete gastronomic experience.
Open all year round.
