By car: The drive from Athens is relatively straightforward, at least as far as Arachova, since the road network is modern and reasonably well-maintained. Past Arachova, the road leading to Delphi and then to Amfissa is slightly more challenging, but not insurmountable by any means. This is also the case should you be approaching from the Peloponnese. Naturally, exercise appropriate caution in winter conditions.
Amfissa, the capital of the prefecture is 204 kilometers distant from Athens, 362 kilometers from Thessaloniki, 118 kilometers from Patras, 70 kilometers from Lamia, 94 kilometers from Nafpaktos, 32 kilometers from Gravia, 24 kilometers from Delphi, 30 kilometers from Galaxidi and 13Kilometers from Itea.
By bus: Alongside the local city buses, there are daily departures from Amfissa via the intercity bus system (KTEL) for all major Greek cities, including all the most important cities of the prefecture.

By boat: Fokida is also accessible by boat. If traveling along the north coast of the Peloponnese by car, you can cross over the Gulf of Corinth via the daily ferry service connecting Aigio with Agios Nikolaos. The crossing takes about one hour. The marinas of Itea and Galaxidi welcome visiting yachts; home as well as to local caiques available to take you on an expedition among the nearby islets.

Domestic transportation
While certainly the most flexible mode of transport about the region is by private car, there are also taxi services available. The intercity bus system (KTEL) is also quite good, connecting the villages with the most important cities of the prefecture.
