A small group of Ottoman buildings in the centre of Komotini. In 1884, the Clock Tower and Geni Tzami were built by the sultan Abdul Hamit. The latter still operates and is open for public. In the yard you will find the religious centre of the Muslims of Rodopi as well as the tin workshops at a short distance.

You will find Eski Tzami near Imaret. Although it was built after Geni Tzami, its name can be translated into “Old Mosque”. It was constructed by Gazi Ahmet Evrenos.
