A 1000-acre forest near the settlement of Petrotes and at an altitude of 100 meters above the sea. Its special feature are the short trees that are less than a meter tall. The forest of Pefki is a kind of nano-forest that can only be seen in Greece. The reason for the small growth of the trees has not yet been found, but it is said that the rocks and geological character of the ground are responsible for this phenomenon.
