This church, where the miraculous icon of Panagia from Kamares is kept, is located in the homonym settlement. According to tradition, the icon was found on the Bright Thursday during the period of Iconoclasm. One night, some fishermen descried a glow on the horizon, which was moving towards them. Their curiosity prompted them to sail towards that point with their boats and eventually they found the icon, which has been kept as a treasure ever since. Last but not least, a feast takes places every year on this day in honor of the Virgin Mary, also known as "the feast of Kamariotissa.
