A town in the foothills of the mountain Kirfi, built upon the foundations of ancient Echedameia. Birthplace of the famous Greek painter Spyros Papaloukas and the revolutionary figure Isaiah, bishop of Salona. Every year, in keeping with tradition, there is a celebration in which they roast a giant kontosouvli (great chunks of meat grilled on a spit over a low charcoal fire) 15 meters in length, for which the region is famous.
