Rising to the borders of Fokida with Fthiotida Prefecture, with its highest point being Korakas (the Crow, 2495 meters). During the years of the Revolution of 1821, its recesses provided shelter for the rebellious inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Today, Vardousia with its unique alternating smooth and steep peaks and ridges, offers guests an unforgettable escape to nature. The rich flora, especially firs, oaks and cedars, along with the beehives and flocks of animals grazing on the fertile slopes, give you the impression that human civilization is still in its early stages of development.
